PaperShell is a composite material based on kraft paper and an organic binder (made from natural resins). It is layered and pressed to create a completely new material that bears the company's name: PaperShell. This material is so robust and durable that it can be used, for example, for the seat shell of a chair, but also for components in electronic products and automobiles, snowboards, and much more – in other words, everyday objects whose impact on the environment is drastically reduced through the use of PaperShell. This is because PaperShell does what trees – from whose wood PaperShell is obtained – do naturally: it binds carbon dioxide. One kilogram of PaperShell can potentially bind around 1.5 kilograms of CO2. This ultimately reduces carbon emissions because it binds more CO2 than it releases during production.
